You can totally ignore this...
The unglamorous BTS life of a Home & Lifestyle influencer (plus links, of course...)
Today's Substack is packed with a few gems you won’t want to miss. First up: a must-have dress that’s universally flattering—perfect for my blue-and-white-loving ladies. Then, an Easter decor project I can’t wait to try, followed by a brilliant home hack to keep your white sneakers looking brand new. I’m also sharing a new perfume obsession, and, saving the best for last, the easiest, most delicious chicken salad recipe you’ll ever make.
The Dress I Will Be Living In This Spring
This dress! It can be worn casually, unbelted, belted, or used as a pop-over. The fabric is divine, and the cut is flattering for all shapes and sizes. Find it here!
The East Decor Project I Will Be Attempting This Weekend, as well as mulching…so much mulching *sigh*
Have You Heard Of This?
Got white sneaker soles that always seem to get dirty? My go-to solution is using Mr. Clean Magic Erasers for quick touch-ups between washes. Just follow the directions: dampen the eraser, gently scrub the sole, and voilà—good as new! You can find the Magic Erasers here and the sneakers here.
New Perfume Obsession That I Didn’t See Coming…
My Review:
I’ve never been a fan of vanilla scents. I usually avoid them in lotions, perfumes, or anything outside of my vanilla extract. So, when Philosophy sent me their Vanilla perfume, I thought, “This probably isn’t for me, but I’ll give it a try.” Well, I was wrong—very wrong. Their Fresh Cream Soft Velvet is absolutely divine. It has just the right balance of vanilla, a touch of spice, a hint of floral, and a dash of freshness. I know that might not be the most scientific description, but to me, it smells soft, delicate, and simply lovely. It feels like the perfect scent for spring—light, feminine, and fresh. If you’re looking to add a subtle, elegant touch to your fragrance collection, you can find it here.
The Best (and easiest!) Chicken Salad Recipe
Heading back outside to finish mulching, then I’ll be making an early dinner and settling in to watch The Secret Garden. I posted a clip of it in my stories, and so many of you messaged saying it was a childhood favorite of yours too. Maybe that explains why we’ve all turned out the way we have!
Wishing you a beautiful rest of your Saturday. Love, Julia
